In Germany, there are around 2 million families who need diapers for their babies. 500.000 ton of disposable diapers end at incineration plants every year. If there are no incineration plants (in Germany we have incineration plants), they go to landfills and stay for 100s years.

One diaper needs one cup of crude oil to be produced. One baby needs about 4.500 diapers in the course of their childhood. In total one baby consumes 1.400 Liters or 9 barrels of crude oil for disposable diapers alone.
