Last Friday, we had our first Hackathon of this year. The topic: how to bond bioplastic with heat.
Bioplastic is like other plastic - it just degrades naturally without leaving any traces in the nature. It can be formed, moulded or bonded with heat like oil based plastic. This opens quite some possibilities - not only for manufacturing diaper inlays.
We did a couple of experiments with different sources of heat. That was fun! Plus, we learned a lot that will be useful for further developing our assembly line for diaper inlays.
